George R. Currier, 92, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away at Bay Pines VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, FL on August 20, 2007 of natural causes.
He moved here from his native Rochester, NY in 2006. He was of Catholic Faith, a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving our nation during World War II; a business owner, real estate developer, and a Supervisor for Eastman Kodak Company. He was an amateur boxer, a shoe maker and designer, and an artist.
Survivors include his sister, Janet Sciarrino of Largo, FL and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Uncle George was a man with no limitations. He taught me logic, courage and – that there are no limitations. He has changed my life forever. Uncle George it was an honor to share in your end of life. Thank you for all the laughter we shared. You will be missed by us and are always in our thoughts. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of sharing dinner time as a family and ” never remove any plates from the table until everyone is done”!! You where the bravest, smartest and oldest man I ever knew. I love you so very much and I loved it when you told me you loved and and felt at home in our home. I will always remember to watch the birds and to actively listen to what people say.

Dear Janet and family,George was one of my favorite people, I will never forget his beautiful smile. He always had something nice to say when ever we met. He was a very handsome and polite gentleman. I have not seen him in 7 years, but I will never forget him. He was a very special person and will never be forgotten by anybody that knew him. I am sure he enjoyed this past year with his family that loved him and cared for him.George is smiling down on all of you, you all did your very best to make him happy. Uncle George ~ I valued hearing about your experiences and stories since I was small. You represent much of my family history, and I am priveleged to have spent time with you. I feel so close to my family, and loved getting to know more through our time together. And thanks for hosting me and Grammy in New York during our “road trip!” We had the best time with you. I am very sorry for the loss your loved one. I had the pleasure of meeting Uncle George a few times over the years, I last saw him this past July. He seemed like a wonderful man with a big heart. He had such a great smile filled with lots of laughter. He was so lucky to have such a dedicated and loving family.

I have allot of great memories visiting the farm. Feeding the hogs and chickens. Planting and picking different vegetable. I will cherish them for ever.
