George Robert “Bob” Hunefeld, 82, of Largo, FL passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater.
Bob moved here from his native Lawrenceburg, IN in 1986 after he retired from Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc. Distillery after 40 years of service. He was Catholic and a US Navy veteran of WWII, earning the rank of Seaman First Class. Bob enjoyed yardwork and carpentry while continuing to work in maintenance.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Margaret; son, Kenneth, of Largo; two daughters, Cindy (William) Powell of Jacksonville, AR and Melisa (Joseph) Wilmot of Largo; sister, Georgia Ruehwein of Lawrenceburg, IN; four grandchildren and two great grandsons.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Taylor Park, 1100 8th Avenue SW, Largo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
We are so sorry to hear that our “Mr. Bob” has passed on.
We will miss him so much.
He was a good friend and helper to Tom and me and to all. God rest his soul.
