George W. Lilienthal, of New Port Richey, FL passed away Friday, March 6, 2009.
George was born in Queens, NY and moved to Florida from Valhalla, NY in 1993. He proudly served in both the Navy and the Army Air Corps branches of the military. George was a gentle and caring man, always ready with a joke and a smile and enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends.
George will be dearly missed by his wife Sandy, children Eileen Caravello, Albert Lilienthal, Eugene McGrath, Cecilia Vanderhoef and Jamie McGrath and his grandchildren Christian M. McGrath, Vanessa Blaise, Tiffany A. Mearz, Tina M. Vanderhoef, Albert G. Maerz, Anthony Lilienthal, Xan Hatte, Michael D. Santerre, Rayne Hatte, Mackenzie Maerz, Daniel J. Santerre. He is predeceased by his son Michael E. McGrath, also at rest in Florida National Cemetery.
In his spare time George enjoyed woodworking, reading and watching football.
There will be a memorial service and interment at 11AM on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
