Gerald Thomas Mulligan, 76, died on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Citrus Health & Rehabilitation in Inverness, Florida. He was born in New York City and served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Gerald was employed as a steward for Pan Am Airlines for many years before retiring to Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; four daughters: Mary Christine Bayliss, Kathleen Ann Wilkes, Patricia Alice Mulligan, and Tara Elizabeth Mulligan; his sister, Patricia Fennell; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his son, Brian Mulligan, and parents, Gerald E. and Matilda Hirch Mulligan.
Services were held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from St. Benedict Catholic Church in Crystal River with Rev. Michael Suszynsk officiating. Military honors were provided by the United States Army Honors Detail and arrangements were entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care, 15381 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760.
