Glenn A. Wooten, 55, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He was born in Waycross, Georgia on October 11, 1952, to Al and Sarah Ruth Foreman Wooten. Glenn was raised in Lyons, Georgia and served his country in the United States Army. He moved to Florida after his tour of duty, and resided in Largo where he was the owner of Copy Cat Copier of Tampa Bay.
Glenn is survived by his brother, Larry, and sister-in-law, Patty, of Jacksonville, Florida; his nieces: Melissa Wilder, Renee Mullins, and great-niece, Heather Peters, all of Jacksonville, Florida; and two cousins.
A visitation was held at the 1st Assembly of God Church, 1739 S. MLK Avenue, Largo on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home in Lyons, Georgia with interment at Lakeview Memeorial Gardens in Vidalia, Georgia.

The world is a sad place without your humor and great outlook on life. You always made me laugh, with your jokes and stories. And what great football times we had. Larry, you and me @ Jaguar games,Fl-Ga week, going to Ga. for the high school games in Lyons. You always made me feel like a sister.You were a great Uncle to our girls. Unfortunately I never got to know you as well as I would have liked. I knew you through business and your quiet and funny nature was always a pleasure to be around. Unfortunately your dream to become a standup comedian was not complete but I know in heaven, they are all entertained and laughing and very happy to have you with them. My heart aches painfully, but Uncle Glenn’s body no longer has a pain much worse than I could ever imagine. Although, I am very sad and I miss my Uncle Glenn, I know that in his passing, his pain his ended.
