My grandpa gave me many happy memories that I could go on forever about, but I feel I can sum it up in a short paragraph. To say that he was a great man would be an understatement. The love and happiness that he gave me and my family was unlimited and unconditional. The love and support that he gave friends and even complete strangers was no different. He has showed me the way to live life happily,to laugh everyday, and to appreciate everything you have and help others who aren’t as fortunate. I promise to keep his spirit alive by doing the same in my life everyday. I love you grandpa, more than you could ever know.
Your granddaughter,
Sasha

Harold was a dear and treasured friend. We shared many wonderful memories each time we spoke on the phone. I think we laughed as much as we talked or maybe more. I’ll always cherish the time we spent at SOS, sitting on a fishing bank, or just visiting on the porch swapping tales with one another. I love you Buddy, and I’ll see you again some day.
We will miss Harold for his infectious laugh, truly beautiful smile and the wonderful person that he was.

I will always have you in my heart Uncle Harold. You and Aunt Vickie raised Brian and I for those few years when my parents were struggling. You taught us to be leaders, to get a good education and how to excel in sports. I have never forgotten those values and I will honor you by teaching my children same values that you taught us.
I will miss you.

Sweetie, you are my best friend. You gave me the best 13 years of my life, truly a gift from God, the good Christian man I prayed for. We enjoyed so much together, working at Word of Faith Church, the food pantry, fishing, cooking and baking together, laughing, dancing. You are the love of my life, and it is an honor being your wife. You said you would be waiting for me in Heaven, and I look forward to the day we will be together. Your wife Dianne.
Uncle Harold,
Thank you for being such a wonderful brother to my Dad! He enjoyed going to Florida to visit you and he often spoke of how you treated him so kindly! You kindness did not go un-noticed! We love and miss you!

You took us in as your own family when you married my mom without a moment’s hesitation. You were the best dad I ever had and the best grandpa to Jillian. I’ll never forget you “worrying with me” and always making me feel better with your faithfilled take on life. We are all truly blessed to have you in our lives. It’s hard picking up and going on without you in our everyday lives but I’m so grateful to God that you were a part of our lives over the past 13 years. I’m looking forward to your hugs and your laugh when I see you again in Heaven. We love you so much. Jillian says that you were the best Boppa ever and her best friend.
Uncle Harold (it’s big bird)I will really miss you. I just talked to you a week and half before you left to be with the best grandparents that anyone could ever ask for. I was excited when I we talked and I let you know that I was going to bring my granddaughter down there for the first time and you asked me to bring her by so you and aunt diane could meet her. Then I got that very sad call. You were the rock that held the family together. You will be missed. I love you Uncle Harold.

May 15, 2024…Today I attended granddaughter Jillian’s graduation from St Petersburg College, at the Tropicana Field, St Petersburg, Florida. You were right when you always said “It’s so smart, I only pray God let’s me live long enough to see her graduate from college. I wonder what she’s going to be.” Well, she has her Bacjelor’s degree in Education, in fact she was so smart she was in the Early College program which means she went to high school her Freshman and Sophomore years, but she was a Freshman and Sophomore in college for her High school Junior and Senior years. She got her Associates degree from SPC and 3 weeks later her high school diploma which I must tell you she was 1st out of over 300 students in her high school graduating class and would have been Valedictorian, but had to give that honor up as she was a college student. Jillian has her first teaching job as 4th grade teacher at a grade school right around the corner from us. She plays on the Praise and Worship team at our church playing acoustic, electric, bass guitars, keyboard and currently awesome on the drums, oh and she sings. You would be proud of the wonderful woman she has become. God is first in her life. No boyfriend because she is waiting for God to put who He wants her to be with in her path. Jillian, Janeese and I still think of you always, miss you, cry and love you. Bill and Brenda think of you too and miss you. Bill talks about you just about everytime he comes to visit and of course hoes fishing. Jessica is another one that you made a Hugh impact on and she is doing good and gave us a great grandson, Colton. Donna talks you often as well. They all loved you, still do. I’ll see you one day in Heaven, I love you very much. Your wife Dianne Janeese Arvin ❤️
