Harold D. Ferrando, 83, CPO-US Navy-World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Veteran, died at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville, FL on November 11, 2009 from natural causes. A native of Springfield, MA and a local Brooksville, FL resident, CPO Ferrando was a Retired US Navy Career Non Commissioned Officer serving as an Quartermaster Officer. He entered the United States Navy in Indian Orchard, MA in 1944 and retired from the US navy in 1964. He served aboard the USS Lester and was awarded the American Theater Ribbon; Asiatic Pacific Medal with 1 Battle Star; US Navy Occupational European Clasp; World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal with five Oak Leafs. He is survived by his niece, Patricia Bradbury and great grandson, Mitchell Bradbury, both of Brooksville, FL. His burial and full military services will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, Massachusetts early next year.
