HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!!!!!
Harriet M. Flynn I am writing this Mothers Day card to honor one of the greatest Moms who ever lived. This woman began by marrying a man that she fell in love with on the job, a hospital; he a doctor, and she a nurse. They went on to begin their family, giving birth to their first child- a son. Elated, they decided to have more children. The next 6 yrs they went through the agony of watching her next 5 children die, too tiny to survive, at birth. I think this would have driven most other women mad. But no, not her! This great mom decided to raise an orphan child forced from her family in a different way. They received their first daughter, blond hair and blue eyes and loved her as if she were their own. So after she became part of the family, Mom and Dad discovered that she was, once again, with child. Their next little package was another baby boy. With everything going well, she became pregnant once again. On a sunny afternoon at their lake house, she went in to play "peek-a-boo" to wake the napping boy, as she frequently did, only to find him lifeless in his crib. She was 7 months pregnant and lost her second little son to SIDS. Stricken with grief, she went into premature labor at his funeral. This time, though, God blessed her with a healthy, but tiny baby girl. When I was 3, my mother went into labor only 4 mos into her next pregnancy. My father, now an Obstetrician, remained devotedly by her side, working and taking care of the children while she remained sedated and on full bed rest. But they did it ! With a lot of difficulty, gave birth to their 3rd tiny little daughter. In the end, with 9 pregnancies, she had 3 children of their own, one they adopted and 6 little angels in heaven. She went on to devote her life to her husband and 4 children, ensuring the fact that we always had whatever we wanted or needed with everything she ever did for us "kissed with love." Now just 3 days before we could honor her as our mother, God has called her to heaven. Yes, this year on Mothers Day, this great woman will be reunited with my dad, the 6 little ones that she never got to know, and her daughter that we lost just 5 months ago…..
Thank you for all you’ve done for me, all you’ve given me and for the person you have made me. I WILL MISS YOU MY SWEET FRIEND AND MOM……….HAPPY MOTHERS DAY……..WITH ALL OF THE LOVE MY HEART CAN HOLD, RONNIE.

Grandma,
Our lives were better with you in it and you will definitely be missed. I’m sorry that over the past few years we didn’t get to talk much. I always thought there would be time and unfortunately let a hectic schedule get in the way of something as simple as a phone call. I would have liked to be there with you in those final days, but wanted to remember you as the strong woman I knew growing up. I’m glad that you’re able to be with Cathy, Great GrandpaGrandma and of course Grandpa again. I’m sure they are all happy to see your smiling face again. I will miss you dearly.
Love Richard
I will miss you my sweet mother and will keep you next to my heart until we see each other again. I am happy that you are at peace now, safe and free of pain. Walk arm in arm with Daddy once again where you belong. You were the best mother one could ask for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I Love You. Ronnie
