Harry was truly a great man. I consider myself a better person for having the chance to get to know him. Rest in peace Harry.
Uncle Harry and his family were always appreciated visitors when they travelled cross-country in their camper in the 1960’s and 1970’s. We loved getting together with him, Aunt Dottie, and of course our beloved cousins Dennis and Richard. Uncle Harry can be very proud of what he achieved, the family he left behind, and the wonderful memories that we all have of him and his entire family. The rest of us can only hope to live as long, and achieve so much of lasting value! Rest in peace, Uncle Harry!
Dad,
We will miss you dearly, but you have gone on to a much better place now. You will now be with Mama, Grandma and the rest of the family that has gone on before.
We love you and miss you,
Dennis 7 Leah
Boron and the world was a better place with Dorthea and Harry in it, now Heaven is better than with them.
I was married to Cecil Debord, Harry’s brother, and have known Harry for 77 years.
He was the middle child of seven children, 3
boys and 4 girls of John and Ada Debord. His mother, Ada Debord, who was a resident of Boron and lived to be 106 years and 10 months.
Harry was predeceased by two brothers, Cecil and Leon, and two sisters, Lillie Belle Druien and Jewell Walker. His living sisters are Dixie Hill, almost 95, and Mildred Cunningham almost 90.
Harry was a fine Christian man, an honest businessman, a hard worker, and a member of his church, Boron First Baptist Church. He helped build the buildings, served as trustee for many years, and contributed generously to its financial support.
Harry trusted Christ as his Saviour and is now enjoying heaven with his wife, parents, and siblings. He is more alive than he has ever been.
I always enjoyed the summer’s we spent in Boron growing up. I know that dad(Leon) and Uncle Harry had such a special relationship and now have an eternity together.
We will miss Uncle Harry and my thoughts and prayers are with you and Dennis and your families.
REVELATION 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
Please accept my condolences on the passing of a wonderful man and a wonderful uncle.
Sincerely , Betty Debord – Cole
Harry was my brother-in-law and he loved to help his brother Leon. His name for him was Peter We always had fun when we were together. He loved to tease me about being from Oklahoma. I was always the Oakey. He was a hard worker and knew how to fix everything. Many times he called his brother to ask for advice. He was devoted to the church, even made the cement blocks and helped put them up. I will be seeing you one of these days. Love Vi
