Herbert E. McRoberts, MSGT-USAF-Retired, 72, services are 9:15 Am, Friday Morning, July 10, 2009 at the Bay Pines VA National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33708 with Reverend Dan Hummer and the United States Air Force Military Honor Guard, to officiate. MSGT McRoberts resided at Treasure Island, FL and he died on June 26, 2009 at the Northside Hospital from natural causes. A native of Klamath Falls, OR and a local resident since 2003, when he moved to the local area from Miami, FL, MSGT McRoberts was an airborne radio operator; a Baptist and a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. During his military career, he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters; National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Combat Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; Air Force Enlisted Medal; Distinguished Flying Cross; Combat Ribbon Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Medal with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters. He is survived by his wife, Mei Shou Mc Roberts of Treasure Island, FL; two sons: Vincent McRoberts and his wife, Lisa of Albuquerque, NM and Andrew McCollor of New Port Richey, FL; two daughters: Judy Leitz and her husband, Ray of Treasure Island, FL and Mercedes Marie Mc Roberts of West Minster, CO; a sister, Bernice O’Kelly of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren: Michael Leitz, Zachary Leitz, Christopher Leitz, Vanessa McRoberts, Natalie McRoberts and Felix McRoberts and five great grandchildren: Isaiah, Alayah, Rudy Jr., Mariah and Angelica.
