Our dearly loved brother in Christ is finally home. Herb’s life, his work, his words and his family bear witness to his devotion to Christ as his Lord and Savior. Herb not only studied God’s Word–he modeled it.He will be greatly missed here.

Dear Jeanne,
We are saddened at the loss of your dear husband. We will always have memories of his obvious knowledge of the Bible, his friendliness to us, his pride in his family and the emailing we’ve done since we left Florida. We will miss that contact. Our comfort is that his suffering is over and that He is with His Lord and Saviour. We’ll keep your family in our prayers.
Marvin and Martha Ginn
Dear Jeanne and family,
Love and prayers are with you each step of the way. We count it a privilege to have know Herb as a friend, and we can truly say that heaven just got a little sweeter. We are looking forward to seeing him again one day. Our love to all of you. Larry and Linda Caesar
What wonderful memories we have of being your neighbor in Seminole; your fellow members at First Baptist, Largo, and email buddy since moving to Tallahassee! What a committed Christian, husband, father, and granddad he was — we will miss him dearly!
To the Wagner Family,
I was saddened to learn of Mr. Wagner’s passing. He was a wonderful Christain man and I have always felt very close to your family since we all first met back in 1974 at First Baptist of Largo. I will miss seeing him at church and pray God’s comfort on each one of you.
We will miss you for a little while, but we will meet again someday because we know for certain you are with Jesus.
Rosemary and I both worked at Honeywell and interfaced with Herb frequently. We retired from Honeywell in July of 1985. In 1989 we joined FBCIR and became friendly with Herb when we saw him in church. We respected Herb very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family today. God bless you, Bo and Rosemary
Jeanne, I am so sorry to hear about Herb’s passing. We enjoyed our friendship at First Baptist Largo so many years ago. I now live in GA and enjoy my church here, but no place will ever be like FBC – so many good memories. You and the family are in my prayers at this difficult time. Bill Cheatham
Jeanne and girls, I was so sorry to hear about Herb’s death. Though I haven’t seen any of you in many years, I have lots of good memories of your family from First Baptist Largo. When I think of Herb, I always picture his big smile and a flattop haircut, though I’m sure he gave that up some years ago (just like my dad, Bill). I pray that the many good memories that he left you with will bring you comfort in the days ahead. You are all in my prayers.
Karen (Cheatham) Baumbach, Atlanta GA
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wagner family during your time of grief. I knew and had contact with Herb over many years at Honeywell. It was a priviledge to have
Herb as a friend and co-worker.
Herb was my friend and fellow Christian at Honeywell for many years. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but I know where he is now and forever.
Dear Jeanne and Family, Our love and prayers be with you. May God wrap His loving arms around each of you during this time and may He let you know Herb is alright. We don’t know the time when we will be called home but one thing I’m certain of, Herb was welcomed home by our loving and caring Father in heaven. We will see him again. Love from your cousins, Bob and Yvonne, Shirley and Jack
Dear Jeanne and girls, Herb was a wonderful person to work with at Honeywell. He “walked the walk” as a Christian. I remember him always having a Bible verse on his computer screen at Honeywell. I’ve missed his e-mails. I’ll keep your family in my prayers. Carol Lambdin
Jeanne my thoughts are with you and I know how much you will miss Herb. Iwill miss him too, he sent me beautiful emails and “kept in touch”. I know he is with his Lord. God bless you and give you peace, Barb
I had the privilege of working with Herb at Honeywell. He was a great person!! May u find comfort in knowing he is with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Dear Jeanne and family- I am so sad to hear of Herb’s passing, but at the same time I am filled with joy to know he is with his Lord who I know he loved so much. Knowing Herb was such a wonderful experience for me and all who knew him. I will miss him so very much. Your family has always been in my daily prayers and it will always continue to be. God bless you all- Karen, Roy, little Roy, and Marypaige Woody
Dear Jeanne and family. Our memories of our fellowship with you at Largo FBC, and at Honeywell, as the men gathered together on the lawn to have Bible study, will always be remembered. We grieve for your loss and our prayers are lifting you up to the Lord Jesus as we think of you during this time. God bless you. Love, Dean and Jean
Our deepest sympathies to the family. Tom worked at Honeywell with Herb and they were in the same Reserve Center. We are also members of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Heaven always looks sweeter when our friends are called home. We look forward to seeing him there.

Dear Jeanne and Family – When I received the news about Herb I was shocked, not knowing that he had a severe health issue. He was a wonderful man, which I discovered when we attended Northwood Community Church. I was priveledged to sing with him in the Praise Team and attend Bible Study, which he chaired. Jeanne, my prayers are with you and your family today and the days to come. God is with you and we know where Herb is and that is a beautiful summation of his walk with the Lord. Bernadette Nolan
To Herb’s Family,
It is sad to hear of Herb’s passing. I just lost my father before Christmas and I understand your loss. Herb was my supervisor while I was employed at Honeywell. He was a fair and good man. He will be missed. God bless you all.
Dave
I still can’t believe Herb is gone. We will miss him so much. Jeanne, you and Herb followed us around the states in our moves and faithly visited us. What great fellowship we had together starting in 1970 at FBC of Largo. We rejoice that he is home with the Lord, but will miss his smile and friendship. We are praying for you Jeanne and the family.
Dear Wagners: Herb (Mr. Wagner) was a tremendous example to me and excellent SS Bible teacher. I’ll never forget seeing him very early one morning having private devotions with the Lord and His Word while on a church outing. His family was always kind to me. May God comfort you all.
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your father. Our sympathies. I know he was a dearly loved father and husband.
Jane
Dear Jeanne and girls: Our love and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We were extremely fortunate to have such an incredible, loving church family at Largo First Baptist. I remember his genuine smile, committment to Christ and love for all his girls. Blessings and peace to you all! JOY
Dear Jeanne and Family – our sincerest sympathy for your loss. We hope with the passing of time, happy memories will fill the void of emptiness in your hearts. May God keep you safe and healthy.
