Iris Romaine (Foraker) Sterling. 76, of Zephyrhills, Florida and formerly of Chillicothe, Ohio and Largo, Florida, went home to be with her beloved husband on February 12, 2012.
She was born on April 12, 1935, the daughter of the late Norman and Gladys Puckett Foraker. In 1954 Iris began her 50 year career in the field of Pathology as a histology technician at Chillicothe Hospital. Before retiring, she was awarded "Histologist of the Year" by the Florida Society of Histotechnology for her life long dedication to the field.
On September 3, 1955, she married Ralph L. Sterling who preceded her in death. Iris is survived by her two daughters: Sandra Lynn Crabtree and Lisa Marie Buckner, both of Zephyrhills, FL; her sister, Vera June Smith of Chillicothe, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mother. I have lost my Mom and Dad so I know how much you miss her. I thought of you guys often after you moved your Mom to the Z’hills rehab I was hoping she would do better and be able to be independent again as I know that is what she was wanting but somethings are not to be it is hard for any of us to admit we are getting older and need help. Take care of yourselves my thoughts and prayers are with you to make it thru this hardest time.
