I will never forget coming home at night and seeing Jack and Bill Johnson teaching my 4 year old son Jimmy to hit and pitch. We had a pitchers mound and home plate perfectly measured off on Pineview avenue. Jimmy ended up with a full ride scholarship out of that early teaching. What a fun neighborhood. Bill & Sue and Jack and Janet. No surprise that they volunteered at hospice, the animal shelters and who knows what else. May God bless the Newitt children. You had great parents. It is a huge but sad honor for me to be their funeral director today. Much love, Jim & Kim
I will allways remember my one and only Niel Diamond concert With you and your wife , and Ho. Jo’s parents was a great night for me thank you for shareing and will miss you say hi to my dad i lost him 4 years ago you would like him.
I only met him once, but I loved that one time. May he rest in peace. My sympathies to you and your family.
The Newitt family has definitely lost a terrific Dad. Thank you dear Jack for your service and dedication to this Country, this community and to all who knew you. You had the heart of a lion and the soul of an angel. I know you will be remembered as you lived your life, with grace and joy. My sincere condolences to the entire family and especially to my dear friend Beth. Rest well sir.
Jack was the best. We have wonderful memories of bridge nights and weekends, lots of laughter and fun. Our children grew up together, as neighbors and Clearwater American Little League games as manager and coach of the “Green Machine”. Beth and Traci were cheerleaders (ball girls), Janet was team Mom and Sue kept score and the boys played ball. Life was different during those years, as we played in the street and partied in the pool. A time gone by, but fondly remembered. Much love to Andy, Tommy, John and Beth. Bill & Sue
Dear Beth, please accept my sincere sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
our thoughts are with the family at this time jack was a good friend and will be missed
Beth our prayers are with you and your family.
Jack and I worked together for many years at Sperry-Hercules-Alliant. He was my marketing representative on many projects and a good friend. We were able to enjoy boating and beach walking on many occasions. We miss both Janet and Jack.
Worked with Jack at ATK on many proposals. Sorry to hear of his passing, he was a great guy, one of my favorite persons to work with.
Jack & I shared many adventures together traveling for Sperry throughout the US and in Europe. He was a good friend and good companion, and a good employee for Sperry.
His family and ours shared experiences during the school years. I think of Jack often.
Our prayers go out to the Newitt Family. Mr. Newitt was a good man who had a lot to do with my success as a baseball player. He and my dad spent many hours with us on First Federal (The Green Machine). Also Mr. Newitt taught me a lot about snook fishing. Although I never saw him catch one I used to go and watch him fish off the bridge. Mr. Newitt will be missed. God bless his family…
We go back about fifty(50) years from high school parties in New Orleans to some interaction in our college years,to the past thirty plus in Tamps. We will miss the lunches with Jack and Janet and catching up on gossip from folks still in NOLA. Good luck to their children and grandchildren and let us know if there is anything we may be able to do to help. God Bless–we will miss you, Jack.
Jack was a wonderful supporter and Volunteer for Suncoast Hospice and we will miss him. Prayers to the family during this difficult time.
