Veterans Funeral Care Jackie Diedrich

Diedrich, Jackie E., 81, of Tampa, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at home under the care of LifePath Hospice.

Jack moved here from his native Derby, KS in 1952. He retired as a draftsman engineer for Sperry Corp. where he contracted and engineered equipment for NASA and the Pentagon. He was a US Air Force veteran of Korea, earning the rank of Airman First Class. Jack was a pilot and an active member of the RC Radio Club in Tampa. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes & helicopters around the country.

He was preceded in death in November by his daughter, Judy Berg; and his sister, Jean McCullah. Survivors include wife of 60 years, Lena; daughter, Nancy Diedrich of Tampa; brother, John of Kaw City, OK; two sisters, Joan Boldin of Wichita, KS and Joyce Ford of Derby, KS; four grandchildren: Jeremiah, Justin, Daniel, and Brittany; and four great grandchildren.

A graveside service with honors will be presented by the VFW Spring Hill Post #10209 at 2:30 PM on Friday, January 10, 2013 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell 33513 (Exit 309, off I-75).
