<br>James C. Smale, 72, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Bay Pines Healthcare System. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 5, 1935 to Clarence J. and Florence Clark Smale . Mr. Smale was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and was noted trombone player with the Marine Corps Band and later with the Glenn Miller Band in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami. He also appeared in cameos as a musician in several feature-length motion pictures. Mr. Smale moved to Bradenton from Reading, PA and is survived by his mother, Florence Clark of Pottstown, PA; his brother, Robert J. Smale of Pottstown, PA; and his sister, Joan M. Ferrero of Bernville, PA. Private family services will be scheduled in Pennsylvania. <br> <br><br>
