James "Jimmy" David Christmas, Jr., 62, of Largo, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Largo Medical Center. He was born in Clearwater, FL, and was a life-time resident of Pinellas County.
He was a Janitor with Angelica Textiles in Safety Harbor, FL. He was a member of the Gulf Coast Church in Largo, FL, where he worked with the Royal Rangers program. Jimmy loved God and loved going to church. He was someone that liked to make people laugh and smile with a kind word. He also enjoyed family events and the Miami Dolphins. At age 6, Jimmy was prayed for at an Oral Roberts Tent Revival and God healed his legs so he did not have to where braces any more.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Lowery of Largo; brother, Fred Lowton of Clearwater; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Gulf Coast Church on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 6:00PM. The church is located at 13301 Walsingham Road, Largo, FL, 33774.
Jimmy was the truest person I’ve ever known. He was faithful to his Lord and lived for Buckaroo night! I’m grateful that he was part of my children’s lives and they were able to know someone so worthy and respectful!
Uncle Jimmy walked with god all his days on earth.There was no heart of stone in you.Jimmy was the best uncle i could ever ask for.I will miss you and never forget you Jimmy.I learned a lot from your actions and words.I know you are laughing with granny now.thanks for always being there for us.I love you uncle Jim.
