James Joseph Mazzaferro, 79, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away November 3, 2012 in the presence of his family.
Born on 10/18/1933 to his parents, James and Pauline (Santerelli) Mazzaferro,deceased. Jim grew up in Youngwood, Pennsylvania. He attended Youngwood High School and served in the Air Force. He spent the rest of his life as a Cobbler. He was married to Lillian Marie (Lefevre), formerly of Adamsburg, PA, for sixty years. Jim was a volunteer Paramedic in Youngwood, Pennsylvania and a former Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lillian, and was the proud father of his daughters, Dene (Mark) Hughes, Tara (Rick) Ratcliff, Jami (Micheal) Hudson, Tami Springer (John Strem) and son, James "Jim" Joseph Mazzaferro Jr. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Demi Fobian, Mark Hughes Jr., Robert Mazzaferro (Kari), LeAnn Bradbury (Chris), Lindsey Truesdel (Glen), Jenna Ratcliff and Jessica Mazzaferro. He is further survived by six great-grandchildren, Tyler Fobian, Alekzander Mazzaferro, Gage Ratcliff-Moore, Samuel Fobian, Ella Bradbury, and Katherine Mazzaferro. Jim is survived by his sisters, Mary Louise Bell and Florence Railey brother in-laws Andrew Lefevre, Francis Smiko and Bill Held and preceded in death by his brothers, Nicholas, Joseph, Raymond.
Last rites were administered by The Reverend Monsignor John Marochi, longtime friend. A memorial is planned for next year in Youngwood, Pennsylvania.
