James R. Palumbo, 88, of Tampa, Florida funeral service is 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Peninsula Christian Church, 3600 West Ballast Point, Tampa, Florida 33611 with Pastor Kent Riner, to officiate. There will be a reception to honor James , at the church following the service.
James was born on April 5, 1925 to Peter and Susie Palumbo in Lawrence, Massachusetts and passed away and went to be with the Lord and his wife, at his residence on June 23, 2013, under the care of Hospice and with his loving family at his bedside. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a member of Peninsula Church. He was a business owner and owned and operated Jim’s Texaco in Tampa, Florida.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, he is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Nancy Perry and her fiancé, Joe Pegg of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren, Tracy (Michael) Ray and Kimberly Roderick; two great grandchildren, Scott Roderick and Joey Roderick and a special person, who he thought of as his daughter, Hattie Bearden of Tampa, Florida.
