His military services are 11:30 AM, Friday, January 22, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513 with the Marion County Military Honor Guard and Chaplin Captain Art Nave, to officiate. Born on November 25, 1944 in Gainesville, FL, he was a retired welder for United States Sugar Corporation in Clewiston, FL ; a Baptist; a graduate of Dunnellon High School and a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Pamela McDavid of Lecanto, FL; three sons; Robert McDavid of Lecanto, FL, Christopher Perez of Miami, FL and Raymond Perez of Nashville, TN; four brothers, Al McDavid of Onalaska, TX; Gene McDavid of Clewiston, FL; Charles McDavid and Calvin McDavid, both of Lecanto, FL; two sisters: Helen David –Black of Crystal River, FL and Sylvia McDavid-Johnson of Clarksville, FL; his grandchildren: Grace and Charles Wayne McDavid of Lecanto, FL; Carmen and Jorden Wayne Perez of Lakeport, FL and Brooke Elizabeth Perez of Sebring, FL.
