Jean McNabb, 85 of Plant City Florida funeral service is 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church, 12735 Knights Griffin Road, Thonotosassa, Florida with Pastor Jim Brady, to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida 33813 at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2014.
Born in Lake Alfred, Florida on June 23, 1929 to Harry and Audrey (Smith) Nelson, she was a lifelong area resident residing in Lakeland and Plant City, Florida. She worked for Parksdale Farms as a bookkeeper and accountant and also was a home maker. She was very active in the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church and she passed away at the South Florida Baptist Hospital, Plant City, Florida on July 12, 2014.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, L.D. “Pete” McNabb of Plant City, Florida; two sons, Dennis McNabb and his wife, Kim of Maynardville, Tennessee and Charles McNabb and his wife, Lisa of Lithia, Florida; two daughters, Sarah Claus and her husband, Jan of Plant City, Florida and Melanie Wilkinson of St Petersburg, Florida; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
