Ok, I just have to share these stories with everyone….
When I first started working with Jeff i thought he was the biggest jerk…he was so military and so structured..I prayed why oh why did I get stuck sharing a cube with this man? But after he trained me to dispatch and we started talking for a while his true colors shined through! He was a funny man and would tell me stories about the days when he use to body build he even brought in pics to share At least 1 time a day I would ask him these RANDOM off the wall questions that had nothing to do with anything and he would just look at me like I was MUST have been high! Lol We just got the biggest laugh…I remember yelling at him every time he took a BC for his aches or feeling just terrible for him when he thought he had MS…My point to all of this is Jeff was a man of many faces mainly STRICT on the outside but once you got to know him he was a riot…I mill miss him dearly. He will stay in my memories forever!! I hope you Dawn, and the kids have memories that you to can sit back and laugh at as well. Laughter will heal your breaking hearts!
Stay strong and continue to live through the memories he left.
Respecfully,
Brandie better known to Jeff as “Marie”. He knew I HATED that name but to bug the hell out of me he would call me that….we faught many days over that issue! LOL
My condolences to Jeff’s family and friends. I didn’t know Jeff really well but I did talk to him often on our smoke breaks. He was always very funny and very honest.
I am so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. I had the pleasure to work with him for several years at CP. He was a wonderful man!!

To the Farris family,
I am deeply saddened to have learned of Jeff’s sudden passing. In my view Jeff was a very good and honorable man. I am proud that I was instrumental in bringing him onboard at CP Ships. And,I know for a fact that CP was mighty glad we got him onboard as his job knowledge and work ethic saved our company a great deal of transportation expense.
Try to stay strong and keep your faith through these trying times.
Sincerely,

I am shcoked and saddened by his passing, he was the one you would think would be here forever, he was so stubborn…

I will miss this man who first came to me asking who did not know the difference between Dallas and Fort Worth. I quickly learned that “logistically” they are two different cities. He taught me a lot about the industry and about living my life. When my husband passed away he encouraged me to live the life Scott wanted me to live, so I am and I know he wants that for all of you.
Dawn, Kids, my thoughts and prayes are with you…live the life that he would have wanted you to live.

Dear Dawn, Children, Toni, and Pops,
My heartfelt condolences to each of you as you grieve the passing of Jeff: husband; father; brother; son.
Reading the tributes here testifies to the lasting impact his life had on those whose path intersected with his.
As a Christian, Jeff had confidence and hope in what Romans 6:7-10 says and it also offers great comfort to all who grieve his death: “What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word.” Quoted from The Message on biblegateway.com
May God comfort you in this very difficult time. May He be ever so close to you through the loving arms of friends and family who hold you and wipe the tears from your face.
Blessings to each of you,
Tammy

Dawn and Family,
Words cannot express how sad we were to hear of Jeff’s passing. Through my recent loss I know that only time can begin to heal your grief. Jeff was always there to lend a helping hand and it won’t be the same at the office without him. Please know that Rob and I are here for you and the boys, whatever you need just let us know.
Jeff was our nephew. We knew him well, both in Connecticut and in Maine. He was a delightful child and we watched him grow into a fine young man. We are so proud to see what an accomplished and respected man he became. He left us much too soon. We send our deepest sympathy to his family.

I was honored to know Jeff. He was often the first person I saw each morning at work. He displayed a great understanding of different situations encountered in the job. I always welcomed his advice and opinions. We grieve with you Dawn and Jeff’s family for this great loss.
Dawn and Family: I’m oh so sorry for your loss. I’m very sorry that I cannot be there for you at this moment. I promise to do whatever I can to help my Veteran Brother’s Family during and after this great loss… It’s been an honor to work with Jeff; to see him daily; to laugh; to share knowledge and experiences; to call: MY BROTHER IN ARMS! Peace, Love, Happiness, God Bless.
Jeff-
You would have loved your service tonight buddy! Your wife and kids were troopers….they held it together they best way they knew how….They made sure you had the service you wanted! You would have been so proud of them….All of your CP Ships family showed up and we all laughed and talked about you….wish you were still around, believe it or not you had allot of people who cared about you! Rest in peace my friend and while your upstairs playing around having lots of fun, make sure you watch over your wife and kids from time to time….your work isn’t over yet! LOL
Love,
Brandie
PS….Your kids are the spitting image of you! I felt like I was looking directly at you!
I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Jeff very well, but he was very helpful to me in my first weeks at the office. I wish you and your family the best through these very tough times.
Reading all of the posts I see that Jeff created another begining. I knew Jeff when he had first met and married his wife Ernestine. They were very happy together. They were known as the couple that hunted deer together and still had time for a candle light dinner. When I learned they were moving to Florida, Jeff, Ernestine and little Amanda to both work for CP, all of us thought it was a new beginning for them both. I know that Jeff seemed to be a great guy to you in Florida, but he was a stubborn old boy at times. No disrespect to the present wife. Dawn I am sure that you loved him very much. Ernestine often spoke of him as her soul mate. He could charm the best of them.
Jeff ..I am sure that you are now able to ask your mom the one question that haunted you.
Rest in peace……
Jeff,
Brandie is correct your family was amazingly strong for you last night. That was the 1st time I met Dawn and wish that it was under different circumstances but she did an amazing job standing strong for you. When the preacher read the letter she wrote about you it brought me to tears…. I actually think Tish even cried…LOL She wrote of the roses that you planted for her. As you watch over her make sure that God sheds sunshine and rain on those roses. Therefore Dawn can be reminded of your relationship in full bloom before you were taken to soon.
We will miss you!!!!
Love,
Ayren
I have not seen or talked to Jeff in many years, but I also remember him from days back here in Charleston, before we all moved to Tampa together! Jeff was a wonderful man, and will be deeply missed. To Jeff’s family and loved one’s, you are in my prayers, and I wish the best for you all.
Our thoughts are with you and we are very sorry for your loss.
To the Farris Family,
My sincere condolences for your loss. Jeff was a nice guy that was always willing to help others. My thoughts are with you.
I have only know Jeff for a short periond of time but i have considered him a true friend. I will miss our conversations he touched everyone he knew and I am sure he will be greatly missed. my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

There is never in this life at times words to say when a loved one is gone, as words cannot replace them or who they were. We speak them to define the loved one , to share with others our feelings at this time to impart part of our lives that became entwined with theirs.
My condolences to the family and friends of this man who was part of their lives and who touched so many
in the course of his life and theirs. May your soul be free now from the fetters of this mortal coil. Rest in peace……………
It has just been over one year since Jeff became part of my real estate “family”. Everyone here is deeply saddened. There is a sullen air in the office, that will remain for quite some time. As a complicated man that Dawn described so very well in the reading, it took him a while to share his feelings with his real estate family, but one by one, we all became quite close. I will always rememaber Jeff Farris as a truely fine man who loved his wife and family very much along with Romeo and Juliet and his motorcycle!
Im not a man of many words but would like to say that in the short time that I have known him he seeemed to be a great man and a good friend always willing to share his thoughts with others and to reach his hand out to help those in need you will always be loved and missed and i hope to see you on the other side someday
I knew him briefly. But the conversations that I had with Jeff. He had an open-mind. Never prejudged. And you can tell that he was a good man at heart and soul. Ty jeff
I only knew Jeffrey for a short time, but I do know that he touched the hearts of all that were lucky enough to meet him.
I was the Matron of honor at Jeff’s last wedding and never thought I would see they day that I would attend his funeral. Jeff was an active person and always eager to serve.
He will be missed
Jeff how it has sadden me to here this news of your passing ,The Lord must have needed a Champion..you were a great person that had given me personally aspiration in my career movements.you will be missed dearly but like the psalm 23 The Psalm of david we will have our day and now the lord has blessed us in knowing you and now you have been promoted to serve him who is the king of glory ,peace be with your family and children you have left behind..psyou never sold my house:_…………….. Thank you Freind you will never be forgotten……..
Dawn,
I am sorry that I never had the pleasure to meet Jeff. It became obvious at his service that I missed out on knowing a great man. And although you and I have just become friends, I want you to know that I am here for you if you need a shoulder. You and your family have been in my prayers. We’ll speak soon and remember I am just a phone call away if you need anything.
Saw Jeff almost everyday, he was always in before everyone and normally one of the last ones to go home. Good guy, real old school, good at his job, sad to hear of the bad news. Our prayers go out to his family. Regards, CR
Jeff, I knew you but for a short while, it was my pleasure. Glyn
THERE SHE IS GONE:
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spread her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other
Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!”
“Gone where?” Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at that moment when someone at my side says:
“There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
“Here she comes, she is home!”
