John Anthony Ferrante, 82, of St. Petersburg, Florida died on October 3, 2012.
Born December, 28, 1929 in Clifton, NJ, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Sara Ferrante. After high school, John served in the United States Army (1947-1948) and, following an honorable discharge, received his degree in Arts in Clifton, NJ. He worked as a commercial artist, designing logos and data layouts for corporations and other institutions. He had extreme talent and, consequently, created successful businesses on the East and West Coasts.
He enjoyed working with his hands and was a talented craftsman, creating numerous handmade chess boards, and various other sets and household items. His greeting cards were always small works of art. He liked to philosophize and often expressed his philosophies in poetry, one of which was recently published.
He is survived by his four loving sons, Mark Anthony, Jeffrey John, Darrin, and John Robert Ferrante; his six grandchildren, Nicole Danielle, Kristen Gabrielle, John Anthony, Jake Anthony, Jessica Rae and Shana Marie.
He will be laid to rest on October 12, 2012 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, FL.
Always in our hearts and minds, we will miss you dearly.
