John Conrad Porter, 61, of Wesley Chapel, died on May 21, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, John moved here from Meriden, CT in 1987. He was a 14 yr. veteran of the US Army until he was medically discharged. He was Aviation Specialist and a veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the DAV.
John was preceded in death by his father, Conrad and sister, Paula Abel. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; son, Joseph of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Tara Tennison of San Diego, CA; two step daughters, Rosemary and Nina Girardi, both of Wesley Chapel; mother, Marie Porter of Wesley Chapel; two brothers, Robert of Wesley Chapel and Paul of Bluffton, SC; and two granddaughters, Kylee Tennison and Gracie Muncy.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sat., June 15, 2013 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 29617 State Road 54, Wesley Chapel. Interment will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 21st at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell.
