John D. McCormick Jr., SSGT-US Army-Retired, 61, of Lakeland, FL died under the care of Hospice at his residence on July 26, 2008 from Cancer with his family at his bedside.
A native of Kennett, MO and a local resident since 1985, when he moved here from Ft Leonard wood, MO; he was a vehicle mechanic; a Christian and a US Army Veteran that served in the Vietnam War Era.
He is survived by his wife, Erika McCormick of Lakeland, FL; two sons: John D. McCormick and his wife, Linda of Lakeland, FL and Anthony C. McCormick and his wife, Dana of Winter Haven, FL; a daughter, Tatjana McCormick of Lakeland, FL; a father, John D. McCormick Sr. of Lakeland, FL; two brothers, Jerry D. McCormick and Jimmy D. McCormick and his wife, Sharon of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Margaret Davis of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Full military honors and graveside services are 2:30 PM, Monday, August 4, 2008 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
