John J. Petruney, Sr., 86, of Dunedin, FL, passed away on March 14, 2013 at home under the care of Suncoast Hospice.
Born in Sheffield, PA, he moved here from Toledo, OH in 2002. He worked for LOF Glass for 15 years and retired as a supervisor with Temp Glass after 25 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marlene; Ron Petruney of Brandon, FL, Tim Kinkaid of Oregon, OH, Larry Kinkaid and John Petruney Jr., both of Toledo, OH; three daughters, Donna Douglas of Millbury, OH, Peggy Moore and Debbie Bartoe, both of Toledo, OH; 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A Mass for the Repose of His Soul will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 750 San Salvador Drive, Dunedin www.ourladydunedin.org with Celebrant, Fr. Tim Corcoran and presentation of Military Honors by the US Navy.
