“Johnny Fry the Fuel Oil Man” 81, of Seminole, FL, peacefully went to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, February 24th, 2011.
He was born in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton Township High School in 1947, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Doris E. Kinsinger, in June 1949. As a young man John worked at Lehmiller Hardware in North Industry. During 1950's he was employed by Nickel Plate Railroad while running his dairy farm south of Navarre. An entrepreneur, John started the successful John Fry Fuel Service after working with Ashland Oil in the 1960’s. He sold this business and retired to Florida in 1978. John was a Deacon at Trinity Brethren Church in North Canton through the 1960's and later ran a Nursing Home Ministry and was a Lead Usher at Clearwater Assembly of God in Florida. In these churches he met many dear friends. He took great joy in sharing his love for the Lord.
John led a full life doing many amazing (and fun) things from Boy Scouts to boating, even building his own seaworthy boat to acquiring his pilot’s license and owning a plane. A”Jack of all Trades” he built many homes, starting with his first after marriage and the Fry home in Richville along with numerous remodeling jobs for family, friends, and clients. John is preceded in death by his “sweetie” Doris E. Fry and is survived by his three sons, Jack of Phoenix, AZ., Bob of Seminole, FL, and Chuck of Parrish, FL, and one daughter Cathie (Fry) Wong of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Our beloved Dad is our inspiration and we feel blessed to call him “Dad”. We will honor him in a celebration of his admirable life at Clearwater Assembly of God in Florida, on March 1, 2011 at 11 am with a calling hour one hour prior.
We are going to miss both John and Doris very much. They
were the first couple we meant
at First Assembly in Sunday School class [abt] 32 years ago. They have been very special thru the years. They were in a group of 5 or 6 other couples we had fellowship with thru the years. Our condolence go out to all the family.
I’m sure there was a great homecoming for both of them.
They will always have a special place in our hearts.
We are thinking of you all in our prayers and thoughts. We loved him and Aunt Doris very much. “When all my labors and trials are o’er and I am safe on that beautiful shore, just to be near the dear Lord I adore, will through the ages be glory for me. When God wipes our tears, sorrow will give way to eternal song.
