JOHN RAYMOND WETHERELL, 84, peacefully passed from this life on December 23, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Georgia Wetherell, a son, John Wetherell, Jr. (
He was widowed in 1973 when his wife of twenty-six years, Norma passed and was preceded in death by his brothers Harold, Walter, Richard, William and Charles, and his sisters, Dottie and Hazel.
As one of 11 children born in Killingly, CT, John joined the Army during World War II and was captured by enemy forces in

John Wetherell possessed a truly gentle heart and a gracious soul. As a quiet man, he never drew attention to himself and basked in the love and accomplishments of his family. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren and leaves a void in the lives of all he loved and those who loved him. He will be greatly missed and forever treasured.
