John W. “Jack” Milenki, 67, SP4-US Army-Vietnam War Veteran of Riverview, FL funeral service is 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with full military honors.
A native of Gary, Indiana and a local resident, John was a welder in the construction field; a Episcopalian; a member of the American Legion and VFW. During the Vietnam War, he was a door gunner on helicopters and was awarded a Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal and an Air Medal.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia (Ginter) Milenki; he is survived by his loving family, his wife, Barbara Keifer-Milenki of Riverview, FL; a brother, Stephen Milenki of Riverview, FL; a sister; Mary Ann Bambrough of Temple Terrace, FL; Jillian and Jay Keifer of Riverview, FL; Robert Keifer (Dana) of Riverview, FL; Kim Keifer-Wilcox of Laurel, MD; Dylan Wilcox of Laurel, MD; sister-in-law, Margaret Waters-Davis of Valrico, FL; brothers-in-laws, John Waters (Sheri) of Glen Burnie, MD and Charles A.
