Lenny and Martha were among the first friends we made after we moved across the street from them in our first house in Safety Harbor.
He was a great friend and always treated us like family. I will miss the bowling and golf that we did and his fatherly like advice that he was always happy to give.
Our love and sympathy to Martha.
Dad,
Though I was just a daughter-in-law, you and Mom made me truly a part of the family. I am so grateful for your love to me and all my children. You will be sadly missed.

Crystal and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss and are praying for you all.
Love you!
Crystal, so sorry for your loss, we will be praying for you and your family…..we love you!
Much love to the Ewell family. Leonard sounds like he was a great guy and fun to be around. Prayers that you all are comforted during this time.
Aunt Martha, We will remember Uncle Leonard with fondness and love. You both are special to us. Love you.
To all the family of Leonard Ewell, especially his wife, Martha: We share in your sorrow, and pray God’s special comfort and peace during these days.
The world has just lost one of the greatest Uncles on Earth. We hope he’s in the proverbial “better place” and he surely deserves it. Leonard has long been my favorite Uncle and Martha is also the best Aunt a child could have. We are truly going to miss him something fierce, yet we hope he is without pain and the frustration involved with Parkinson’s Disease on such an outgoing and generous man. He has helped me all my life, even rescuing my son when he ran away at 18. It was funny that three teens think they will never be found, yet turned out to be about 10 blocks from Leonard & Martha. Once I found them and Leonard drove down and identified the car I called the Police. The other 2 were underaged and taken by the police. My son called in tears, so far away and all on his own. He cried in relief when I explained how close he was to Leonard & Martha. I am now months from being 60 years old and I still look up to both of them, just as I do my Mom, Leonard’s “baby” sister. He will be sorely missed every day of my life… Thank you Lord, for sharing him with us!
Love,
Norene (Fairchild), Big Mike, Michael, Bill & Joe Parker
Uncle Leonard was always there for me. When I first moved to Maryland, I lived with him for several months. Aunt Martha, Lenny, Kenny, and Jimmy were like my own family.
Uncle Leonard was my best friend at a time when I was away from home and at a new job. We worked in the same office and his influence on me and my job will never be forgotten. He and Aunt Martha took care of me like I was one of their own children.
I love you Uncle Leonard and will never forget what you have done for me.

Hello Crystal, Ian and family – We are so sorry to hear of your grandfather’s passing. We just read his obituary and were moved even with the few words to hear how he lived his life.
Crystal – If you are anything like your grandfather then he was a man of big personality! I hope that you find the memories of your grandfather to be a tremendous blessing. What an amazing thing to have been married for 67 years!
You are in our prayers as you mourn.
Much Love,
AT and Marci Arneson
