Leonard E. “Gene” Preston, 77, of Largo, Florida went home to the Lord on April 12, 2011. He was born on October 15, 1933 in Kokomo, Indiana to Walter and Marcella Whitman Preston, and served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan; his son, Michael Preston; his daughter, Tonya Clayton; his brother, Bob Preston; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Gene was dearly loved and will be truly missed. May he rest in peace.
Memorial services with military honors is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2pm from Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
