Veterans Funeral Care Leonardo Pereira

Leonardo Baker Pereira, 28, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 in Town & Country.

Leonardo was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. He was a very intelligent and also very curious to try to learn about new things. When he was 6 years old his father got him his first computer and then Leonardo started to show his very strong skills and passion.  At 9 years old he was taking IT computer classes with many adults and was considered one of the best in the class.

He always loved babies, small kids..he really had a funny way to play with them and give them attention.  He also loved nature, animals and plants. He knew how to appreciate any type of music having a very ecclectic taste.  He had a good sense of humour and it was so good to see him happy and laughing.

Leonardo had deep knowledge about so many different cool things.  He was very sensitive and had a huge heart to help anybody who was in need. He was very honest and straight-forward in his short life.  He would fight for justice and did not like to see anybody suffering.

Leonardo had different jobs, but enjoyed the Comp USA store the most bright and exciting one.  In two months he was on top in sales using his skills to explain to his clients about the products they were buying with a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge about computers. Leonardo was very confident and happy at this time.  He enjoyed the respect the other salesmen had for him in his new career in so short a period of time.

Leonardo got married of his first wife Jaimie, and left that exciting job to join the US Army. He wanted to have good benefits for his first son, Leon, that was still on his way at this time. Leon is 5 years old now.  He had his second child with Jaimie, Karinna, now 4 years old.

One of Leonardo’s dream was to have his college degree. His two passions were computers and his Soccer team, Batofogo.  When he was discharged and came back home, he got divorced from Jaimie and not too long after that he found Joanna, the lovely woman who came into his life like an angel falling from the sky.  She was the woman who took care of his two children. Not too long after they got married and Sophia, the third child brought more life in this beautiful young family. She is one and a half years old now.

Leonardo made part of his dreams come true.  He finally started his studies to get a Bachelor degree as a Computer engineer.

He leaves three beautiful children, a wonderful wife, a caring mother and an extended, loving family in Brazil who is with him even from the distance.

“May you, Leonardo, rest in peace in Gods arms all opened for you.”

A gathering of friends and family will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Bay Ceia Baptist Church, 4615 George Road, Tampa, 33634.  Services will begin at 11:00 AM and military honors will be presented at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, 33513 (Exit 309, off I-75).
