Leroy Paul McGinty, known as “Jerry”, 65, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on Friday, November 30, 2007 at home under the care of Hospice of the FL Suncoast.
Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, he moved here in 1997. He retired as an engineer for the Ohio State Correctional System. He served both in the Army and Air Force from 1960-1967 with tours in Europe and Vietnam.
He was a son to Louie and Ruth; brother to Dennis; stepfather and father to Chris, Shannon, Colleen, Rachael, and Shawn; grandfather to many; and friend to most.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5 – 7pm on Thursday, Dec. 6th at Suncoast Assembly of God. Funeral Services will begin at 6:30pm. Interment will take place at Bay Pines National Cemetery with military honors at 2:15pm on Tues., December 11th.
JERRY WAS A GOOD MAN AND WILL BE MISSED BY ALL THAT KNEW HIM. I WILL ALWAYS HOLD HIS MEMORIES WITHIN MY HEART FOREVER. I WANT TO EXTEND MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL OF MY FAMILY IN THIS TRYING TIME. LOVE TREY
