Margaret Carlton Jobson, 82, of Largo, Florida, passed away on February 18, 2011. Margaret was born on October 30, 1928 in St. Petersburg, Florida, to H.C. and Lena Carlton.  She graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She became an elementary school teacher and taught in Texas, Hillsborough County, Florida and Pinellas County, Florida. She also accepted a tour of duty in Japan teaching the children of American military personnel serving their country away from home.
 

Throughout her life, she was active in her church and loved the Lord. She enjoyed playing the piano and served as her church pianist for a time. She also enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and watching old movies.
 

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James E. Jobson; daughters Rebekah J. Jobson, Cheryl Jobson Norgart, Jennifer Jobson Abel and her husband, Dale Abel; grandchildren Mikaela and Tyler Norgart, and Sarah Abel; and, brother and sister-in-law, James Carlton and Ann Carlton.
 

Her memorial service will be held on March 12, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks’ Chapel at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home or the Humane Society of Pinellas County Florida in Margaret’s name. Interment was at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
