Mark R. Pullen, MSGT-USAF-Retired

Funeral will be Thursday Morning, 10:45 AM, July 2, 2009 at the Bay Pines VA National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida 33708 with Pastor Howard and the United States Air Force Honor Guard, to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday Evening, July 1, 2009 by Veterans Funeral Care at Global Mortuary, 7210 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL 33771 with a service beginning at 7:30 PM.

A native of Fulton, KY and a local resident since 2004, when he moved here from Panama City, FL; he was a retired Biomedical Equipment Technician and after he retired, he was working for Bay Front Medical Center as a Biomedical Equipment Technician. During his United States Air Force Career, he was awarded a Air Force Achievement Medal with 4 devices; Air Force Commendation Medal with 3 devices; Meritorious Medal with 1 device; NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 2 devices; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon/Rifle; National Defense Service Medal with 1 device; Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; Air Force Short Tour Ribbon with 1 device; Air Force Training Ribbon; Air Force Longevity Service Medal with 4 devices; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border; Air Force Organizational Excellence Award; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/Valor with 4 devices; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 5 devices, Global War on Terrorism Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Cora Pullen of San Antonio, Texas; his father; MSGT-USAF-Retired Johnny Walker Pullen of South Fulton, TN; his brothers, MSGT-USAF-Retired Tim Pullen and his wife, Kyong of San Antonio, Texas and Paul Pullen and his wife Leeann of Owensboro, KY; his sisters, Paula Pullen of South Fulton, TN and Gaytha Wheeler and her husband, Tim of South Fulton, TN; his fiance, Salve Natac of St. Petersburg, FL and his United States Air Force friend and fellow serviceman, who served with him for 20 years, MSgt. Larry Brooks of Clearwater, FL.
