Mary L. Young, age 95, formerly of Huntington, IN and Lake Webster, IN died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the home of her son, Michael S. Young in Clearwater, FL under the care of Hospice.
Mary was born July 9, 1916 to Albert and Coreen Eckert. She married Ralph F. Young on July 27, 1934 in the Rectory of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN. Ralph preceded her death on May 13, 1987.
Mary is survived by two sons, Michael S. Young of Clearwater and Robert F. Young (Marsha), three grandsons, Mark, Robert and Ryan, four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter all of Morganton, NC.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta B. Herran of Clearwater and Evelyn R. Zahn of Huntington, IN and a brother William (JD) Eckert also of Huntington, IN.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Clearwater, FL.

We will all miss you Grandma!! I will always remember your dumplings, tapioca pudding, and popcorn and Pepsi down by the lake!! We will try to carry on those traditions for you. I will always remember your back scratches too and playing euchre!! I know I have an angel in heaven to pray to now!!!
Aunt Mary was an inspiration to us during her lifetime and we will cherish her always. May our Lord provide comfort and peace.

Your mother was a kind, gentle woman whom I respected. She was so great with my chldren. Your family will be in our prayers.
