Veterans Funeral Care Maudie Bingham

Maudie P. Bingham, 85, of Bayonet Point, FL, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Belvedere Commons of Tampa. She was born in Madisonville, KY and moved here from Detroit, MI in 1971.

Maudie was a nurse who attended the Shapiro Scohool of Nursing at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, MI.  She worked at the Plymouth General Hospital in Detroit for a number of years. After moving to Florida, she worked at the New Port Richey Community Hospital and at several physicians’ offices.  She was also a volunteer at Hernando – Pasco Hospice and at the Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center.  She was a member of the New Port Richey Assembly of God Church and also attended Victorious Life Church in Wesley Chapel.   Maudie loved her family and was a consumate mother.  She was an excellent singer and sang in a gospel trio with her late husband, Clyde.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Opal Chamberlain; her husband, Clyde Bingham; and her brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her sons, Dennis of Wesley Chapel, Gregory of Ann Arbor, MI and Michael of New Port Richey, FL; daughter, Juanita Merando of New Port Richey, FL; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Monday, February 18, 2013, at Victorious Life Church, 6224 Old Pasco Road, Wesley Chapel, FL, 33544. A Visitation will start at 10:00AM and be followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM.  She will be interred with her husband at the North Meadowlawn Cemetery in New Port Richey, FL, following the services.
