Max D. Schrock passed away June 3, 2010. He was born Dec 20, 1948 in Millersburg, Ohio to Corliss and Edna (Miller) Schrock.
He is survived by his wife Toni; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (Buffy) Montgomery; a son Quentin; grandson James Montgomery; a sister, Mrs. Stanley ( Norma Jean ) Miller; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, a sister (Marlene) and a nephew (Ricky Gray) have gone on ahead to wait for him.
He moved to Sarasota with his family when he was a young boy and was raised here. He enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam Era, and served with the 25th Division 3/4 Cav as a tank commander in Vietnam, After discharge, he came home and started Schrock's Nursery, a plant and landscaping business, he really enjoyed the plants and flowers and growing things, in his spare time he also ran a charter fishing boat out of Venice, and acquired a Master boating license. He sold the business in 1994 and move to Englewood to work for Sarasota County for 10 years until he retired, After a brief move to North Carolina, he settled back into what he called his hometown, Sarasota. He was an outdoor type of person that especially loved the water, also just the peace and quiet of nature, and he loved his animals.
He was a very special man that was so deeply loved and will be greatly missed until we can be together again.
