BORUCHSCHOMER, Mephibosheth "Uncle Beau" 43, of Clearwater, now at peace, passed away at home on May 2, 2009.
Born in Chicago, IL, he is survived by niece, Marie Himes and sister-in-law Alice Shaffner and his "mom" Marilyn Markus. He served in the US Army and transferred to the US Navy and during Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, who also served in the Navy.
He was an EMT, a Stephen Minister and a grateful member of Al Anon, serving on the answering service for many years. He will be missed.
Services will be at Beth El Shalom Congregation, 1791 29th Ave. N, St. Petersburg on Sunday, May 10 at 6:30 pm; and at First United Methodist Church, 212 3rd St. N, St. Petersburg on Monday, May 11 at 5 pm in the Chapel. Flowers are gratefully declined. Graveside services with military honors will be presented by the Pinellas County Veterans Liaison Council at 2:15pm on Wed., May 13th at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. Memorial gifts in Beau’s name may be given to Beth El Shalom and/or to First UMC, St. Petersburg.
WOW – that was around the last time I saw Beau (2009). Beau was a wonderful person and neighbor.
