Never again will my ears hear you sing “Born On the Bayou” for me, but I will always hear it in my heart. Our paths crossed often through life because of our love for music and I know that it will again when my time comes. You will be sorely missed. but never, ever will you be forgotten.
My friend,I still use many of the licks you’ve shown me.I will think of you every time I strap my guitar on.

MY PRAYERS TO MORRIS’S FAMILY
Thanks for all the great memories! Miss and love ya brother. Turn it up and play it loud!!
We are very sorry to hear about Morris passing and our thoughts and prayers are with his family. I’m Morris’s Cousin. My Father Woodrow Ricketts was his mother’s brother. Both my sister Margaret Hasting and I have tried a couple of times to track down Morris to no avail, and were shocked to hear the news.
God Bless you all during this time of grief.
Cathy
To the family of Morris: Morris was my comrad, friend and fellow soldier, we met at the Veteran Admin. we have shared many stories of both triump and despair. He loved and cared deeply for his family especially his son. Morris will be greatly missed, but know that he was ill and in pain and is now pain free and in a better place.
Our Loss…His Gain!
Sorry to hear of your leaving us but most likely you’re sharing your God given blessing for music with the angels.
a friend till the end … you are missed
Morris was a good friend and fellow musician. He will surely be missed. I remember the first time we played together back in the late 70’s and untill the day he will remain one of the best I’ve ever known. May God Bless Clifford and Katie Wodicka Sr

Morris,
We have taken many trips together, this is one trip we take alone.
we’ll miss your voice, but mostly you.
Love Bob and Family
Morris was a great inspiration for me to expand my guitar knowledge and technique. He would take time to show me different ways to play chords, leads, songs. He was such a natural talent.I remember his Dad,whom I played a little bluegrass with, told me that when Morris was 3 years old he would hold a corn cob like a fiddle and saw on it with a stick…a natural! I lost contact with him after the middle 70s,but I was happy to speak with him on the phone several times before he passed. He believed in the Lord, and I know that’s who he’s with now…RIP Mr Guitar
