Ned Knezevich, 76, passed away on February 14, 2008. He is survived by his three children: Peter W. Knezevich, Michael Knezevich, and Donna Lynne Autry; his three grandchildren: Peter W. Knezevich, II, Griffin and Sheridan Autry of Tampa; one sister, Bisa Kovacevic and her family, Stephanie and Nadine Kovacevic of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Ned was born in Senta Backa, Yugoslavia. Events of World War II forced his family from their homeland, causing Ned, as a young boy, to be seperated from them. He joined the Chetnik Army, serving with General Draza Micajlovic’s resistence forces, was detained in a POW camp, moved to a DP camp in Germany and resettled in the United States after the war. Ned became a US citizen, joined the United States Air Force and honorably served for over 20 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired in 1976. Ned enjoyed traveling, gambling, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in the Spring.
