SARABIA, Oscar C., 82, of Tampa, passed away January 25, 2010.
Oscar was born in Ybor City, Fla., May 6, 1927. He was the son of Francisco Sarabia and Margarita Cernuda Sarabia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a resident of Tampa. He was a professional barber and had a love for horse racing.
He was predeceased by his mother, father and sister, Idalia Sarabia Valdes; brother-in-law, Luciano T. Valdes, brother-in-law, Louis A. Perez Sr.; and nephew, Louis A. Perez Jr. Survivors include survived by his wife, Magdalena Sarabia; son, Fidel Sarabia; daughter-in-law, Mona Sarabia; daughter, Nadine Hahn; and granddaughter, Liana Hazelgrove; sister, Lydia Perez; brothers, Frank Sarabia (Abby) and Gilbert Sarabia (Ludi); nieces, Margaret Montano, Yvonne Hollingsworth, Loretta Atherton, Sharon Brown and nephews, Gilbert Sarabia Jr., Gary Sarabia, cousins; Dr. Charles Cernuda and Daisy Parrado; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
No services will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lifepath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele Street, Tampa, FL 33609.
