This man taught me to fish
I was without shelter
This man helped me to build
a home
I was without inspiration
This man taught me to be
A good husband
A good father
A good man
To my father, mentor, and brother Mason, thank you for all the things you taught me. How to be a strong and trustworthy man! most importantly, you taught me how to golf and fish! I miss my fishin’ buddy! I love you dad! Until we meet again in that house not made with hands eternal in the heavens. I will do everything you asked and make sure mom is taken care of for the rest of MY life. I will miss you until we meet again in heaven, your son, “BUTCH”
My Treasure – My DAD
I look back on these years
To see how far I’ve come and grown,
I take a trip down memory lane,
And what I see has shown …
That every step I’ve taken,
You have been there by my side …
From infancy to adulthood,
We’ve stood the test of time.
You cradled me and nurtured me,
Through all these many years;
You held me and did comfort me,
Through happiness and tears.
You’d pick me up when I would fall,
You’d dust me off and then,
Encourage me to get back on
That horse and ride again.
Your constant care and loving,
And your warm inviting heart,
Has always been a treasure that
I knew would n’er depart.
If I could be “just half” the person
You have been to me …
Then you have taught me well dear dad,
For in my heart I see …
A man whose most gentle soul,
Embraces me each day …
A man whom I dearly love,
Much more than words can say.
We will miss you Owen. We have shared a part of you and your family for over 10 years now. It was great to meet all of your brothers and sisters and we saw what a truly great person you were and the reason God put you on this earth. Keep them laughing up there and one day maybe we can all share a beer ot two!
Love you and miss you! We will be there for Cindy and the girls down here and you can watch over them up there!
To a man who was like a second father to me,
Thank you for being my best friends dad and treating me like I was your own. I will never forget you or all the good times over the years. You also taught me the great game of golf and how to be an upright man.
Love Scott.

noone else can understand the way I feel,
the pain
the fear
the heartache
the tears
you were taken from me
after all these years
none of our memories will EVER fade
the times we shared
the “blonde” jokes you made,
I wish I could go back in time
way back when you sent me that first dime…
no matter how much pain we feel we must accept it
this tragedy is real,
someone special has past today
but all his problems have now gone away
so now he tells us
dont cry another tear
listen closely so you can hear
he is still with us
you know is true
I sware I can still hear him wisper
….I love you……

My sympathy and prayers to all of you – Cindy, Sharon, Butch and Dawn. Cindy, I am very sorry to hear about your dad. You have many fond memories that will always remain in your heart. Please also send your mom my regards. Rose Allan’s mom

Sharon, We want to express our deepest sympathy. There is little we can do or say but please know that our hearts and thoughts are with you. We never spent much time with Owen but long enough to know he was a great man. He will be greatly missed. God Bless you and Keep you.
To Dad,
You have been a great father in law to me and welcomed me the first day we met. I enjoyed the times we spent together whether it was watching football, playing golf, drinking beer or just getting away from the women and hanging in the shop, I will cheirsh those times for the rest of my life. Your memorial service was very beuatiful today and you should be proud of what you left behind. I will drink a couple for you tonight!!!
Love,
Gene
My Buddy Owen,
I will always miss our HOG roasts at the Elks. And will always treasure our memories. “Watch out for the trees”! Between you and I… Forever Bubba.
Owen Cox Family.. I was around Owen and all the kids when they were growing up but distance made it so we didn’t stay in touch. He was a happy little boy. I had not seen or met his wife and kids. I am sure he was a wonderful husband and father. I am so sorry for our loss. Aunt Ruby, Pam, and Mac and in memory of Uncle David and Beth…
