Paul Ray Spillman, 71, US Navy-HTC – Retired of Montgomery, TX memorial service is 2:30 PM, Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Montgomery United Methodist Church, 22548 Highway 105 West Montgomery, Montgomery, TX with B/General Pastor Doc Jones, to officiate.The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service times.The United States Navy Military Honors Team and the American Legion will provide full military honors at the begining of the service.
A native of Helmsburg, IN and a local resident since 2001, when he moved here from Portland, TX. He was a member of the VFW and Fleet Reserve and the Montgomery United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Texas.
HTC Spillman was a retired US Navy Nuclear Power Plant Components Welder and qualified submarine repair man that served our nation for 20 years. During his career, he was awarded five times the Good Conduct Medal and graduated from the US Navy Leadership and Management School.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 50 years, Jean of Montgomery, TX; a son, Stephen Spillman and his wife, Denise of El Campo, TX; his daughter, Paula Malec and her husband, Ed of Houston, TX; a brother, Robert Spillman and his wife, Judy of Springville, IN; a sister, Connie Fagan and her husband OD of Beverly Hills, FL and his four grandchildren; Spencer Malec, Jordyne Priesmeyer, Kayla Pence and Brian Koudela.
Final interment will be at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston Texas 77038 at a later date.
