Peter (Piotr) Muraszewski
Peter Muraszewski born February 22, 1948 in Querenhorst, Germany to Michael and Dorothea Muraszewski , died suddenly on May 12, 2010 in Tampa, his home for many years. An organ donor, he gave in death as he did in life.
The family immigrated to this country from Essen, Germany in 1956 through the generosity of the parishioners of the United Trinity Methodist Church.
A US Marine Corps Veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam War.
Peter was employed by the City of Tampa Parks Department for more than twenty years.
Preceded in death by his father, Michael, His grandparents Erich and Ida Kopke of Wusterwitz, Germany and Michael and Anna Muraszewski of Przedecz, Poland.
His son, Peter Jr. and wife Lindsey, his daughter Ashley, the mother of his children, Millie Napier, survive him. Also his special friend, Claudette Goshorn. His mother, Dorothea Valencic. His aunt, Waltraud Kopke of Brandenbur, Germany. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Muraszewski and wife Barbara; his brother Romuald (Romie) Muraszewski and wife Becky as well as his sister, Dorothy Gipson and husband Carvel.There are several nieces and nephews as well as extended family both here and is Europe.
Funeral services are private at Bushnell National Cemetery with millitary honors.
