Peter J. Zarcone Sr., 84, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away on Wednesday, October 31,2012 at Tuscany House in Summerfield.
Peter was born in Danbury, CT on December 26, 1927 and moved to the Ocala area with his family in 1997. He was a WWII veteran in the US Navy and owned a Mom and Pop convenience store. He was a life member of VFW Post #4493, Candler and American Legion Post #347, Lady Lake, FL.
He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Irma; three sons, Peter Jr. of Ocala, Christopher of Kalispell, Montana, David of Summerfield; three daughters, Nancy Greaves and Sandra Zarcone, both in Ocklawaha, and Delores "Lori" Gutierrez of Loxahatchee, FL; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 11528 SE Hwy US 301, Belleview. The family will greet everyone one hour prior. Interment with Military Honors will be presented at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell.
