Phyllis M. Stigner, 73, of Largo, FL, passed away peacefully on July 9 2014 at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater.
She is survived by her son, David Yarish; niece, Karen Stigner; nephew, Ken Stigner; and long time friend, Chaplain Ray Hosner.
Phyllis was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and resided in the Clearwater area for over 30 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Great Western Bank and Verizon. She was a member of the AMVETS, American Legion #273, VFW Post 10094 Auxiliaries, and the Elks Lodge.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at VFW Post #10094 in Indian Rocks Beach. Donations may be made to the a local Wounded Warrior Project http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/, or the local ASPCA http://www.aspca.org.

I did’nt know you that long Phylis cause you retired not to long after I started @ Verizon but time I did know you I remember you were very energetic, bubbly & so funny and I will never forget that, I remember you hung out @ the guards desk on your break when Steve was the guard and sit on that table & read the paper. You will be sincerely missed by all your coworkers & I Phylis! RIP!
