Rev. Harry D. Pittman, 79, of Seminole, FL was called home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2013. He was born in Memphis, TN, on June 29, 1933 to the late John and Ernestine Pittman.
A passion to serve God led Harry to Moody Bible Institute where he received his ministerial degree. He continued his education at UCLA and held his first pastor/planter position in Fredericksburg, TX. He later went on to become the Director of Stewardship Ministries for CBFMS before moving to Florida to be the Planned Giving Director at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks in 2003.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Henrietta; six children: Pamela Pittman of CA, Grace (Craig) Newman of FL, Susan (Larry) Boyer of IL, John (Cindy) Pittman of FL, Ruth (David) Diepersloot of CA and Heather (Eric) Johns of CA; brother, J. Edward (Mable) Pittman of CO; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road, Largo 33770. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Promise Missions of FBCIR (727) 595-3421.

Harry you were one of the greatest Connection Group teachers we have ever had. You were a gift from God teaching indepth and helping us to apply God’s Word to our lives. Harry, I will miss teasing you, playig tricks on you and seeing your bright smile. We look forward to seeing you in that great mansion that Jesus promised.
