Richard Charles Kindel, 71, died on Christmas Day after a brave fight with many illnesses.
He passed at his home with his under the care of Hospice of the FL Suncoast with his wife, Birgitta, at his side. He served his country in the US Army. He moved here in 1970 and worked in credit at Pinellas Lumber and retired from Superior Uniform Group in 2000. He was a member of the Rio Vista Presbyterian Church and the Unit Five Men’s Club. He coached Little League and assisted with his son’s Boy Scout Troop. Dick was an avid photographer, reader and sports fan.
Including his wife, he is survived by his brother, Dr. E.A. Janet Kindel; sister, Barbara Kindel; nieces, Dr. Susan and Gretchen Kindel, Esq.; nephews, Dr. Robert and James Kindel; and many good friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Mainlands Unit 5 Clubhouse with Pastor Ralph Madison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice Foundation of the FL Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, 33760.
