Richard James Buzzo Jr., US Army Vietnam War Veteran visitation is Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 4:00 PM at the 1st Assembly of God Church, 2087 East County Road 470, Sumterville, FL 33585 with a service by Captain Arthur Nave and the Marion County Honor Guard at 3:30 PM.
A native of Brooklyn, NY and a local resident of Davenport, FL and Clermont, Fl since 2004, he was a elevator repairman and late in his career a security guard. During the Vietnam Era he served in the United States Army and was awarded a National Defense Medal, a Marksman M16 Badge and he was a wheeled vehicle mechanic..
He is survived by his loving family: a wife, Francine Buzzo of Clermont, FL; his three sons: Richard J. Buzzo III and his wife, Catherine of Liverpool, NY; Christopher Buzzo of Clermont, FL and Joe Buzzo and his fiancé, Rachel Poucher of Clermont, FL; his mother, Joan Buzzo of Davenport, FL and his three brothers, Dennis Buzzo and his wife, Madeline of Fairfield, FL; Kevin Buzzo of Fairfield, FL and Kenneth Buzzo and his wife, Mary of Reddick, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Street, Bushnell, FL 33513 at 2:30 PM, Friday, December 16, 2011.

my deepest sympathy goes out to the buzzo family, richard and his family was a very good friends to the migan family. he was a great man. my fondest memories is when he played santa claus when i was 6 or 7.

I am so sorry for your lose of such a great man. He will be missed by many. A quote I read recently “People will forget what you said; People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Buzzo made me smile and laugh so many times and I am sure he brightened up many others days as well.
Richie was more than just my son-in-law, he was a friend, in every sense of the word. Always greeted you with a smile and hand shake that let you know you were welcome. He will be missed greatly by all. GOD BLESS HIM
