Richard Whitmel Norfleet, 83, of Odessa, FL, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Southern Pines Health Care in New Port Richey, FL. He was born in Roanoke, VA. He lived in the Tampa Bay area for 43 years.
Richard served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after 22 years of service. Richard loved his country, friends and life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Winnie Norfleet. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Sharon; and grandsons, William Michael and Richard Long.
Richard was interred at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors.
